Obituary

Sheila R. Schroeder, 83, a life time resident of Elyria, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at St. John Medical Center in Westlake on Monday, May 2, 2022. She was born November 23, 1938 in Elyria. Sheila graduated from Elyria High School and obtained her Associate degree from Lorain County Community College. She enjoyed: singing in the Lorain County Community Choir, the Cleveland Browns, spending time with her grand children and great grandchildren, watching the news, jazz music, and having weekly brunch with her friends. Sheila is survived by: four children, Amy Beckloff (Frank), Steve Schroeder (Doriayn), Doug Schroeder, and Leslie Schroeder; 14 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; her in-laws, Dale Schroeder, and Marge Poyle; her sister-in-law, Donna Brown; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her loving husband of 17 years, Warren W. “Dood” Schroeder, her daughter, Connie Senter; and 9 brothers and sisters. The family welcomes friends to join them at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 from 11am to 12pm with the service beginning at 12pm. Inurnment will be held at St. Mary Cemetery in Elyria. Chaplin Alan Schrader will officiate. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lauren Elizabeth Scholarship Fund at: www.lightforlauren.com
