Sherrill Elaine (Bland) Diltz

Sherrill Elaine Diltz (nee Bland), 77, of North Ridgeville, passed away following a brief illness on Thursday September 17, 2020 at St. John Medical Center in Westlake.  She was born October 19, 1942 in Clarksburg, West Virginia.  Mrs. Diltz had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1967.  She loved to be outside where she enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening and doing yardwork.  She also loved taking care of her pets and other animals.  Sherrill Elaine was an amazing mom and best friend to her children.  She was also a social member of the VFW Post in Avon.  Sherrill Elaine Diltz is survived by: her daughter, Joanna Stroud of Portage, Indiana; her son, Charles F. Diltz of North Ridgeville; one granddaughter, Denise Osborne (Jason); one grandson, Marvin Martin (Nakita); nine great-grandchildren; one brother, James Oliver Bland of Avon; and by many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by: her husband, Charles David Diltz in 2006; two sons, Chester Lee Diltz in 2014 and David Rex Carpenter in 2009; and by two brothers, John and Duane Bland.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday September 22, 2020 from 4 to 7pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville.  A graveside service will be held on Wednesday September 23, 2020 at 2:30pm Fields Cemetery in North Ridgeville.  Rev. Chuck Behrens will officiate.
