Timothy L. Shafer

Timothy L. Shafer, 73, a long time resident of Vermilion, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 12, 2023, at Kingston of Vermilion. He was born September 28, 1949, in Wadsworth. Tim graduated from Admiral King High School in 1968. He worked for Senior Flexonics Pathway Division for 23 years before retiring in 2012. Tim was an avid poker player, and also enjoyed coin collecting, bingo, fishing, and sports, especially the Cleveland Browns and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He is survived by his son, Timothy B.; his daughter, Debra; five grandchildren, John (Kelcie McCormick), Andrew (Morgan), Jami, Taylor, and Torrey; six great grandchildren, Charlotte, Oliver, Paisyn, McKenzie, and Jr; six siblings, Ron (Connie), Anita (Russ), Cynthia, Arthur, Darlene, and Marlene; and his daughter-in-law, Joni. Tim was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Donna; two children, Timothy Jr., and Liza Marie; his parents, Arthur and Margaret; and his brother, Gale.
