Vallie W. (White) White

Vallie W. White (nee White), 95, was welcomed home to Heaven on Monday May 2,  2022. She had been living in Grafton, OH for the last five years and passed away after a short hospitalization and a week on Hospice care at Keystone Pointe in LaGrange, OH.  She was born in Surry County, North Carolina on February 16, 1927.  Vallie was a dedicated Christian servant and she faithfully served the Lord in the churches and neighborhoods where she lived.  She retired from Western Electric (AT&T) in 1982.  Her life verses from the Bible are found in Proverbs 3:5-6.  Vallie was a loving wife, mom, grandmother and granny to her family.  She is survived by: her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Gary Anderson of Grafton, OH; her son and daughter-in-law, Charles E. and Carol White of Mt. Airy, NC; her daughter-in-law, Debra Capehart White of Winston-Salem, NC; eight grandchildren and spouses; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; her brother-in-law, Joe Davis, several cousins, nieces and nephews; and two special daughters of the heart, Loraine Woodle and Sandra Higgs, both of Winston-Salem. She was preceded in death by: her beloved husband, Charles E. “Chuck” White in 2004; her youngest son, Michael C. White in 2010; her parents, Lloyd J. and Minnie (nee Key) White; four brothers, Rufus (an infant), Farris and his late wife, Marie, Fred and his late wife, Ann, and Fox and his late wife, Annie; two sisters, Victoria Nixon and her late husband, Fred and Vera Wilmoth and her late husband, Earl Sr.  Vallie also lived long enough to say goodbye to all of her husband’s family; brothers-in-law, Sanford White (Rachel) and James White (Freeda); and four lovely sisters-in-law, Irene White Church (Wyatt), Vena White Draughn (Kelly), Kathleen White Trivette and Brenda White Davis (Wade).  The family will receive friends on Thursday May 12, 2022 from 10am until the time of the funeral service at 11am at Moody-Davis Funeral Service, 215 Kapp Street, Dobson, NC with Dr. Gary Anderson and Rev. Jim Bush officiating.  Burial will follow at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery in Fairview, Surry County, NC.  Memorial contributions may be directed to Baptist Mid Missions Foundation, 7749 Webster Road, Cleveland, OH 44130 or Grace Baptist Church, 3305 Peters Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, NC 27127.  Liston Funeral Home, North Ridgeville, is serving the family in Ohio.
