William F. “Smoo-thee” Joseph Sr., 55, of Sheffield Lake, passed away at his residence on Thursday May 19, 2022, following a long illness. He was born October 30, 1966 in Summersville, MA. Mr. Joseph had resided in Lorain County for 15 years and prior to that, he resided in Cleveland. He was a graduate of Berea High School and also completed several nursing aid courses. He was a veteran and served in the US Army. William was a man of many talents. He worked as a DJ, a private investigator and formerly worked as a nurse’s aide at several area nursing homes. His favorite job, which he loved very much, was being a bounty hunter. He enjoyed listening to old county music, fishing, turkey shooting, spending time with his grandchildren and he was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. William F. Joseph Sr. is survived by: five daughters, Juniper Joseph, Serenna Platko, Meghan Gryznar, Katie Joseph (Dane Garlock) and Hope Moran; four sons, William Joseph Jr. (Victoria Raine), Daniel Joseph, Andrew Rutka and Bryant Smith; six grandchildren, Aidden, Anastasia, Layla, Gwyneth, Bloom, Koa and Baby Garlock on the way; his wife, Annette (nee Offutt); two sisters; two brothers; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by; his parents, Donald and Marcia (nee Hughes) Cervenka; and one brother, Chester Joseph. Private family services will be held with full military honors. Liston Funeral Home, North Ridgeville, is serving the family.
