Carolyn M. (Bochar) Blaze (formerly Rumancik)January 15, 1921 ~ February 26, 2017 (age 96)
Carolyn M. Blaze (nee Bochar), formerly Rumancik, 96, of North Olmsted, passed away Sunday February 26, 2017. She was born in Lakewood on January 15, 1921. She lived in North Olmsted for more than 30 years. Carolyn was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in North Ridgeville and also a member of the Women’s Auxiliary at VFW Post #9871 in North Ridgeville. She was an avid roller skater and loved dancing polkas. She enjoyed gardening, reading books, attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and dining out. She was an avid sports fan of Cleveland pro sports teams and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Most of all she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Carolyn was treasured by her family and she will be greatly missed. She is survived by three sons, Michael (Maureen), Thomas (Susan) and John (Heidi) Rumancik; and one daughter, Suzanne (Mark) Redding; twelve grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren; two great, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband Joseph Rumancik and her second husband Richard Blaze; her sister Helen Cihosky and three brothers, Stanley, John and Joseph Bochar. The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 1, 2017, from 4-8pm at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd. (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville. The Funeral Mass will be Thursday March 2, 2017 at 10:00am at St. Peter Church, 35777 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Rev. Andrew Hoover will celebrate the Mass. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brook Park. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Holy Family Hospice.
